TRAINING: 1st workout - 3-5 mile run. 2nd workout - jump rope, mitts for 6 rds, footwork drills and sit-ups. 3rd workout - jiu jitsu warmup, BJJ drills, live rolling for 30 min to an hour.
When and why did you start training for fighting? Not sure exactly. I believe I started training in 2004 but ever since I was young and saw the 1st UFC on VHS I knew I wanted to fight.
What ranks and titles have you held? Fight Night OC and BammaUSA lightweight champion.
Do you have any heroes? My dad (Ernest Chavez), and my high school wrestling coach (Keith Smith)
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me. It's the biggest step so far in my career and I plan to take full advantage of it. Getting in the UFC and staying here can change my whole quality of life. I plan to be very successful.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? California State University of San Bernardino. Associate degree. 5 classes away from BA in Accounting degree
What was your job before you started fighting? Payroll/accounting clerk
