Veteran featherweight standout Cole Miller will face off with up and comer Jim Alers in an all-Florida meeting that will be featured in UFC Fight Night action on December 19 in Orlando's Amway Center.
In the FOX-televised card’s main event, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone challenges for a UFC title for the first time when he battles lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos in a highly anticipated rematch, and in the co-feature, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos battles Alistair Overeem.
A native of Georgia, Miller has long represented the American Top Team gym in Coconut Creek, Florida, and this December "Magrinho" will compete in the state for the first time since 2006 as he looks to pick up his third win in his last four fights. Fort Lauderdale's Alers has won nine of his last ten, including an April 2014 victory over Alan Omer in his UFC debut.
