UFC Returns to Japan on March 3

TICKETS FOR UFC JAPAN 2013 AT SAITAMA SUPER ARENA GO ON SALE DEC. 11

Tokyo, Japan – Following a very successful event last February, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® today officially announced its return to Japan’s Saitama Super Arena, the 20,000-seat venue on the outskirts of Tokyo, on Sunday, March 3. Bouts for UFC Japan will be announced in the days to come.

“After an amazing event last February, we’re excited to bring the UFC back to Japan for the second year in a row,” said UFC President Dana White. “Japan has such a big fan base that we knew we couldn’t stay away for too long. I can't wait to get back to Japan in March!”

“It was a tremendous achievement to bring the UFC to Japan last February and I am looking forward to our return following the success of that event,” said Managing Director of UFC Asia Mark Fischer. “Our Japanese fans have been supportive of this sport for many years and we are delighted to bring them, once again, a great card and the opportunity to view the best talent and production this sport has to offer. Our next event at Saitama Arena on March 3 will continue to showcase how popular the UFC and mixed martial arts has become on the global stage.”

Tickets for UFC® JAPAN 2013 go on-sale to UFC Japan Fan Club members at 10 AM, Dec. 13 at http://www.ufcfanclub.jp and are priced at JPY 100,000 (VIP), 34,000 (RS), 19,000 (SS), 9,800 (S) and 5,800 (A).  UFC Japan Fan Club http://www.ufcjapanfanclub.jp will launch on Dec. 13 and the membership fee will be priced at JPY 6,000.  Regular on-sale date for the general public is currently targeted for mid-January.

Also on Thursday, Dec. 13, UFC Mobile subscribers and users of Ticket Board, an online ticketing site focused on major entertainment and sports, will have the opportunity to purchase tickets through http://ufcm.jp/pc/index.html and http://tickebo.jp respectively.

Additionally, tickets will go on-sale Tuesday, Dec. 11 through Lawson convenient stores located throughout Japan. To purchase tickets, visit a local Lawson location or go to www.L-tike.com.
 
Readers of E-Plus, a play-guide publication circulated at 8,649 Family Mart convenience stores in Japan, may purchase tickets on Friday, Dec. 21 online at http://eplus.jp/sys/web/sports/battle/index.html.

UFC® JAPAN 2013 will air live on numerous UFC broadcast partners in Japan and globally, as well as FUEL TV in North America on Saturday, March 3.
