When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training at the age of 15. I always wanted to be a boxer but ended up getting into MMA. Had my first MMA fight at 17 and was immediately hooked.

What ranks and titles held? Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Do you have any heroes? My father, my mother, and Coach Saul - they’ve all had a big influence in how my life has gone. My dad was actually a reason I wanted to fight; he was a boxer, so I wanted to try and follow in his footsteps. I ended up going in the route of MMA instead of boxing.
What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC? I absolutely love fighting, and I want to compete with the best in the world. The best in the world are in the UFC. Of course, I’m striving to be a champion, but the first task is getting into the UFC. Fighting in the UFC would mean I’m a part of the best fighters of the world and I’m striving to be the absolute best.

What was your job before you started fighting? I actually got a job so I could continue to fight. I’m currently still working for the City of Deer Park as a Meter Reader.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition: 6-0 with 4 KOs, 145 Legacy Amateur Champion
