When and why did you start training for fighting? I started fighting in 2012, I joined because of my twin brother, who introduced the fight game to me.

What ranks and titles have you held? Black belt in BJJ under Diego Nogueira, I hold Fury FC and WXC welterweight titles.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me. To be able to fight at this high level is what every great fighter wants. Now the job is to stay in it.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Yes, I went to San Antonio Community College and received my associates degree in criminal justice.

What was your job before you started fighting? I’m still currently working at Haven for Hope as a Life Safety officer

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? 4-0 with the PCG lightweight championship
