What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC? It's been a bit of a dream come true. I had come to terms with the fact that I wasn't going to fight in the UFC and had moved my focus to running my gym and coaching other fighters, so the call was super unexpected. I've been on a high ever since

When and why did you start training for fighting? Started training in Muay Thai about 18 years ago, didn’t start for any reason in particular just wanted to fight.

Who is your favorite fighter and why? The Sylebender. the way he will commit to challenges even if the odds are stacked against him I find very admirable.

What are your current ranks in martial arts? Muay Thai world champion, BJJ black belt (Earned in July)

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? WBC Muay Thai world champion – 2018

What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why? A loss to TY Williams on King in the Ring over a decade ago. I lost but enjoyed it regardless. made me realize the key to being satisfied with a fight is effort and not just winning

Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? I'm not particularly motivated by the money, or the title at this stage. It’s my first UFC fight so I just want to go out and perform and take it one fight at a time

What was your job before you started fighting? Construction

Favorite grappling technique: Body Lock

Favorite Striking technique: Rear Kick

Tell us about your life outside of fighting:

- I just recently got married
- My wife Jayde is pregnant with our first, having a boy
- I own my own business with my best mate: TFC - The Fight Centre
- I have no other hobbies outside of MMA really. the gym, coaching and training take up all of my time
