When and why did you start training for fighting? I grew up in a very poor community. In Brazil, they are called favelas and sports was the only means to a better life.

Do you have any heroes? No. I am my own heroine, overcoming so many obstacles and adversities through sports.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is realizing a dream. It has been my biggest dream for the last ten years and it’s been a very tough road.
