Q&A
When and why did you start training for fighting? 16 years of age. A friend introduced me to Kickboxing at Fight Club Novi Sad, and the first rule about the fight club is that you don’t talk about fight club.
What ranks and titles have you held? Champion of Serbia in K-1. Medalist in WAKO European Championships in Lignano Sabbiadorro, Italy. Medalist at World Cup Serbia Open in Belgrade. Multiple-time champion in several kickboxing disciplines in province of Vojvodina, Serbia. Judo orange belt, BJJ blue belt
Do you have any heroes? There are people I admire, and as far as heroes the future me is my hero.
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is a dream come true for me and my brother. We have been dreaming about this for many years. My friends and family that know me personally know that this was coming, and some of them have proof of me talking about being up there in the best promotion in the world. I have predicted the future for myself on several occasions; this is one of those occasions.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied Sports and Physical Education at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. I moved to the United States before I got an opportunity to graduate.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked from making 2$ or (200 Dinars) a day in a Betting office in Serbia, to serving in restaurants, mowing lawns in the United States, construction and selling cars at a dealership and full-time training, no matter what job I had.
